The 5KM Combustion Wire Spray Gun is built for automated, mass production environment having long continuous spray periods while maintaining constant coating quality. It operates reliably and economically; with minimal downtime. This unit has an external Wire Feed Speed Panel that adjusts rate of spray. When maintenance is required, the 5KM series guns can be serviced quickly and simply, returning to production with minimal downtime.

The 5K Spray Gun can spray any wire made for Thermal Spray from soft, low-melt point materials such as Zinc or Babbitt to high-melt wires such as Stainless or Moly steel. Parts can be easily changed for multiple wire diameters.

5KM Gun are suitable for mass-production coating of:

• Extension Nozzles: Where deep bores or recesses are to be sprayed, a range of extension nozzles are available These allow access of the spray at depths upto 1.1 Mtr., whilst straight or deflector air caps can be selected to direct the spray stream to the area required. Typical use include spraying in internal diameter or hard to reach coating surfaces. Installation is simple by removing the standard Air Cap Body and Siphon plug and replacing it with the extension. This can be done in about 1-2 minutes without any tools. These are available in various lengths for both Oxy-Acetylene and Oxy-Propane Gun.

• Air Control Unit:Consist of air filter cum regulator for secondary filtration and regulating air flow to wire flame spray gun. An additional outlet provides connections for operator’s helmet. Pressure Rating: 10 Bar

• Hose Kit: Consist of Hose to connect oxygen cylinder & fuel gas cylinder with gas flow meter to spray gun.

• Gas Flow Meter: These precision wall mounting Flowmeters are recommended to use with Flame Spray Equipment. Ease of reading enables economic operation and rapid fault diagnosis. The unit incorporates separate flowmeter for both Oxygen and Fuel Gas supplies.

• Air Flow Meter with Hose: The 3AFM Air Flow Meter is a highly accurate rugged and reliable instrument for regulating and measuring the flow of compressed air in a manual powder or wire combustion spray system.

11M Wire Flame Spray Gun is specially designed to run at higher speeds allowing the user to apply soft wire material to any substrate efficiently and economically. This gun is convenient for hand-held or start/stop operation due to the Wire feed thumb trigger. It is engineered specifically for soft-wire applications. It can be used for smaller jobs as well as cranking out large area applications almost as easily as spray painting. It sprays Soft Wire such as Aluminium, Zinc, Lead, Tin, Babbitt of size 1/8”, 5/32” & 3/16” This gun will not spray hard materials such as Stainless Steel, Nickel, Bronze, Copper or Bonderite.

Numerous accessories increase its versatility including various Air Cap, Nozzle and Siphon plug configurations to provide exceptional coating quality and economical operation. Converting from one size of wire to another is quick and easy. This is a very effective gun for coating or repairing various metals in severely corrosive environments. This gun is perfect for hand-held, fixed or mobile applications. The entire system (except the compressor), can be mounted on a cart for mobile applications and field repair work.

Wire Flame Spray Process

The wire is fed in to the front of gun through air driven turbine. Fuel gas and oxygen is properly and safely mixed in siphon plug gas head assemblywhich provides combustible heat source. The molten metal is hence atomized and propelled by compressed air in the form of fine metal spray for coating on job surface.

 

With universal, forged-aluminum gas head it can be adapted to use any fuel gas. The standard gun is set up to spray 1/8” wire using acetylene as the fuel gas suitable hardware is available for handling all standard wire sizes ranging from 3/16” down to 20 gauges.

Generally all metals and metal alloys in wire form are used for spray coating i.e. Zinc, Copper, Aluminium, Brass, Steel, Stainless Steel, Molybdenum, Nickel Alloy etc. Standard Wire used are 1/8” (3.17mm), 5/32” (3.97mm), 3/16” (4.76mm).

The 14M Flame Spray Gun is a lightweight wire spray gun that uses an air turbine to draw wire in, melt it with fuel gas and blast the molten particles on to the substrate. This gun is suitable for coating both high & low melting wires such as Aluminium, Babbitt, Molybdenum, Copper, Brass etc. Wires of sizes such as 1/8”, 5/32” & 3/16” (3.17, 3.96, 4.76mm) can be sprayed easily. This versatile gun has a convenient wire feed thumb trigger making it an excellent choice for hand-held use. The Metal Coat Flame Spray Gun 14M has a universal gas head, which can be adapted to use Oxy/Acetylene or Oxy/Propane fuel gas. The standard gun is set up to spray 1/8” wire using acetylene as the fuel gas. Suitable hardware is available for handling all standard wire sizes ranging from 3/16” down to 1/16”. Although the 14M Flame Spray Gun has been designed primarily for hand-held operation, a simple, rugged tool post fixture is supplied with each unit to permit mounting on a machine tool such as a lathe. Powered by compressed air and Oxy/Acetylene or Oxy/Propane, the entire system (except the compressor), can be mounted on a cart for mobile applications and field repair work.

The Metal Coat 12ED Wire Flame Spray Gun is a state-of-the-art electric drive wire flame spray gun. Here. an AC powered motor is provided which ensures constant wire feed rate. thereby preventing any variation in speed which may occurs in air-driven wire feeding. 

The constant wire feed rate makes it very easy to spray hard wire such as Molybdenum. Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, etc. and results in the development of extremely fine coatings. The 12ED Model requires comparatively less maintenance as components such as the rotor, brake disk. spider assembly. turbine ring, turbine cover, control ring have been removed. 

Metal Coat 12ED combustion flame spray gun can be used to hard wires such as Stainless Steel, Molybdenum. etc. 

Metal Coat 11ED is a DC Motor powered Wire Flame Spray gun engineered after years of our experience and research in thermal spray. This is the best in the class gun for spraying soft wires such as aluminium, zinc, lead, tin. babbitt. etc. The 11ED Wire Flame Spray has minimum parts with maximum ease of maintenance. The DC motor provides a constant wire feed rate. which results in great quality wire flame spray coatings. 

Wire feed rollers are placed in the transparent box, which allows easy viewing of the wire feed unit. This box can be easily opened without any tool to remove the wire chips or any dirt which may accumulate after spraying.
